Spring
AprilAs soon as the daytime temperature exceeds 8 to 10°C, the latent buds enter active growth and open, more or less rapidly depending on the climate and grape type.
April - MayGrowth is characterised by the appearance of stems, leaves, tendrils and flower buds. This is the period with the highest risk of frost damage.
JuneFlowering usually takes place about two months after emergence. It is spread over a period of about ten days and fertilisation occurs if the climatic conditions are perfect. We are now about 100 days away from the vintage. A variety of different jobs need to be carried out in the vineyard: weeding, thinning, tying shoots to wires and spraying. In the winery, wines ready for sale are placed in an air-conditioned cellar to avoid sudden changes of temperature with the arrival of the first hot days.
