Viognier Chardonnay

Locality
The Domaine de Gourgazaud is situated in the village of La Livinière, set in the foothillsof the Montagne Noire. The village acquires its name from “Cella Vinaria” (wine cellar), confirming the existence of ancient Roman vines of the region.

Geography of vineyard
The soil is composed of limestone from the "Miocène Era" , mixed with alluvium.

Grapes variety
55% Viognier, 45%Chardonnay.

Vinification
After “de-stemming” we follow with pelliculaire maceration with a light pressing in a lined stainless steel tank for 4 to 6 hours. Fermentation for 20 days at a controlled temperature.

Tasting note
Beautiful pale yellow colour with green hints. A beautiful complex aroma of white blossoms common to the Viognier and the Chardonnay, some citrus notes given by the Chardonnay and a touch of peaches by the Viognier. Very long and fine in the mouth.

Food matches
This wine can be accompanied by exotics salads, grilled fish or fish served in a sauce. It is also a wine ideal for serving as an aperitif at a temperature of 6 °- 8°C.
